These Universal Trawlers are well regarded as a quality built yacht. The solid fiberglass hull showed no evidence of osmotic blistering or delimitation per the 2018 survey. Although this boat was stored in boathouses previously the exterior is in need of cosmetic attention for painting and brightwork refinishing.
The seller reports that the fuel and water tanks are stainless steel. The holding tank is plastic.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Commentaires du Broker
This is a heavily built, full displacement, fiberglass trawler constructed in the Universal boat yard, Taiwan. This yard later built the "Ocean Alexander" series of yachts and is known for quality construction. This particular design is distinguished by being relatively deep and beamy.
Our model is a single diesel type with the Lehman 120 HP engine. These engines are proven to have a long lifespan and parts continue to be available since so many boats of the era used this propulsion.
The original teak decks have been removed and replaced with fiberglass. The 2018 survey found no evidence of delamination or osmotic blistering in the hull and superstructure. The vessel has been primarily stored in boathouses by previous owners. In its current condition it requires attention to the exterior for painting and brightwork refinishing.
Two private cabins and a large open salon make this trawler a good choice for family cruising or living aboard. The boat is heated with a Wallas diesel hydronic system that warms all cabins. It has substantial battery banks and a low-hours 4.2 KW generator in a sound enclosure for cruising independence away from the marina.
This classic trawler represents a good value and is well found for service as a cruiser or live aboard vessel.
