Broker's Comments

This former Navy patrol vessel started life being specially built for Special Forces operations in and around Northern Ireland during 'the troubles'. Now for a new owner she could be suitable as a pilot / crew transfer boat, dive boat, expedition/training craft…. the list goes on...

The vessel is nearly 16m long and almost five metres wide and has a speed of 28 knots.

She is diesel powered and has a fuel capacity of more than 200 gallons.

She was a Scimitar Class Patrol Boat, and historically safeguarded Gibraltar for nearly 20 years after her SAS / SBS career in Northern Ireland.

The Scimitar Class patrol boats had the unique ability to be able to operate in ports and confined waterways that are not as easily accessible by other vessels . Her draft is just 1.1 metres.

Her Kevlar armour does remain fitted throughout the vessel.
Weapons , Communications and lifesaving equipment are removed. She is otherwise fully Operational.

Owner comment:

On leaving Naval service her small armament , communication equipment and lifesaving equipment were all removed . Her complete fit of Kevlar armour remains however should she have a second career in "difficult waters” She is operational…fully surveyed in December 2023 and her engines are run up monthly to keep her in tip top condition for further service. No longer officially a warship she is registered with the MCA as a Pleasure craft. A very rare opportunity to purchase such a vessel.
